A magical rainforest deep and dark
The singing of birds in the nearby park
A midnight sky so full of stars
A sweet smelling meadow filled with flowers
Some of life's greatest pleasures
Are in nature’s little treasures
Laid out for us to find
How could we ever be so blind?
But look at the pollution
The oil in the ocean
The fumes from cars all speeding by
Without a care
For all the damage and despair
The bombs that blow up field and plane
The gunmen who fire without restraint
The many creatures whose lives have been lost
Due to deforestation and the harshest of frosts
And do we protect this - our wonderful world?
Or leave it to die? Has our future been hurled
Like it’s meaningless trash
For a wad of meaningless cash?
If we all work together to help save our Earth
Soon we will find out just what it is worth
Please help me protect our wonderful world
or lose it forever the choice is now yours
