Welcome to the website of the Rotary Club of Chepstow & District

This year is the 60th Anniversary of the founding of Chepstow & District Rotary Club.

You may have donated to us, seen us at various events, or read about us in the local press or online.  But how has Chepstow Rotary helped people over the past year?

Through our fundraising initiatives like the Tintern Torchlight Carol Service, Wye Classic Car Run and music events including one featuring Italian tenor Yuri Sabatini, we have been able to help local and international causes.

Here are some of the things we have achieved over the past year thanks to your generosity:

If you would like further information on what we do or possibly are interested in becoming a member of Chepstow Rotary or then please look at:

New members are always welcome and greatly needed!

CHEPSTOW & DISTRICT ROTARY CLUB THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR GENEROUS SUPPORT IN 2023

Note

CHEPSTOW & DISTRICT ROTARY CLUB  HELPS UKRAINE

The Chepstow & District Rotary Club has purchased 16 solar mobile banks, which have been delivered to Ukraine by a local Chepstow couple.

Solar mobile banks allow mobiles to be charged in areas without an adequate electrical supply, since Russia’s bombing of Ukraine much of the infrastructure has been destroyed., electrical supply is sporadic or non-existent.

The photograph shows Rotary’s President, (right}, handing over the 16 solar banks to Mike Scott(left), who delivered these to Ukraine in  mid February 2024.

Members of CHEPSTOW & DISTRICT ROTARY CLUB attended the CELEBRATING CHEPSTOW event in the Drill Hall, Chepstow on Saturday 16 March 2024

The event promoted by Chepstow Town Council was an opportunity to see other clubs and societies operating in Chepstow.

It was  an event to enabling clubs to meet and discuss their various activities .

The ROTARY CLUB OF CHEPSTOW & DISTRICT have funded yet another generator for the people of Ukraine.

This is now in Ukraine and being used by a mobile medical unit as shown in the photo.

Thank you to everyone who donated and helped us arrange this.

BURNS NIGHT IS CELEBRATED BY  THE

CHEPSTOW & DISTRICT ROTARY CLUB

33 Rotarians and guests enjoyed a traditional Scottish meal of Haggis with neaps and tatties at the Millers Arms, Mathern.

Guests were welcomed by the rousing music of the talented Welsh piper Matthew Bartlett who also piped in the Haggis.

The flamboyant address to the Haggis, and the  Immortal memory was given by Mrs Fiona Gardiner, in true Scottish  style.

A most enjoyable and entertaining was had by all, which we hope will be repeated next year.
